With the recent announcement today of U.S. officials ending the heatedly eristic standoff of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s homestead citing “public safety concerns”, Bundy supporters have naturally hailed this latest development as a victory for freedom. But is it? When you parse through all of the legalese rhetoric and other peripheral excuses that had been used by the U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management for Nevada in defense at their having imported 200 heavily armed Federal Agents, Snipers, and munitions in efforts to force 67 year old Clark county Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy from public lands he has used to raise cattle as he said in his own words, “all my life“, it’s unmistakable that this Federal government has become the embodiment of the dictatorial tyranny we fought a revolution against 238 years ago to secure for ourselves the freedom and liberty to be recognized throughout the world as the United States of America. We can’t claim ignorance to it. We’ve borne witness to their escalating arbitrary abuses of power and overreach against us time after time. Forcing laws upon we the people which, far above in the lofty heights of their Ivory Towers, they exempt themselves from. Even as many of these alleged “representatives” seem to have become exceedingly wealthy beyond what the salary income of their elected Office would suggest possible.
The Bundy ranch standoff may have come to an end, but the war is far from over
