Sharia law is an Islamic code of laws based upon the Koran. It allows such things as honor killing and polygamy, female genital mutilation, adolescent marriage and the beating of wives and children.
As such, Islamic Sharia law is incompatible with United States law and the US Constitution. But some Islamic communities around the country are attempting through political pressures to have Sharia law recognized and practiced in US courts.
It is all just a part of the global jihad being pushed by radical Islamists, a jihad that seeks to conquer the world and impose Islamic Sharia law on everyone.
North Carolina has just become the seventh state to pass a law that prohibits state judges from considering Sharia law, or any foreign laws, in family cases in state court, according to Deseret News.
